Unrestrictive submarine warfare Is a type of navel warfare in which submarines sink merchant ships without warning the other ships. There have been four major Unrestrictive submarine warfare, one major campaign was the U- boat campaign of WWI. Submarine warfare was mostly a fight between German U- boats, and Atlantic supply convoy ships, heading towards Great Britain. The attacks were widespread and occured in the Baltic, North Sea, Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Black Seas. ‚Äč Submarine Warfare was a result of desperation, and the belief that the ferocity of such a tactic might just keep America out of the war if the results were spectacular and shocking enough. But this was actually one of the reasons America decided to enter into World War I.
