The Treaty of Versailles was one of the major treaties that led to the end of WWI. It ended the war between Germany and allied powers. The treaty was signed on june 28, 1919 which happened to be exactly 5 years after Franz Ferdinand was assassinated. The treaty made Germany take full responsibility for the war. This made Germany not want to cause anymore damage because they would have to pay for the other countries repairs. It also required Germany to get rid of their military.
